Summary

A new plate/cassette can be registered as an instance of an existing LabwareType, ensuring it inherits the predefined characteristics and properties associated with the selected labware type.

Navigate to Plates/Cassettes

• Navigate to the left panel
• Click on the Labware menu item
• Click on the sub-menu item Plates/Cassettes

How to create a new Plate(s)/Cassette(s)

• Locate the Action button at the top-right corner labeled "Create."

• Click the "Create" button to open the dialog box.

• Creating a Single Plate/Cassette:

  • Enter the desired name or identifier for the plate/cassette in the input field.
  • Add the description and choose the labware type.
  • Click Create to finalize the creation.
  • Once plate creation is complete, the newly created plate appears at the top of the list.

• Creating Multiple Plates/Cassettes:

  • Input multiple names or identifiers in the dialog box, separated by commas (,).
    • Example: Plate1, Plate2, Plate3
  • Add the description and choose the labware type.
  • Click Create to generate all specified plates/cassettes simultaneously.
  
  
  • Clicking Create displays the message: "Plate creation is in progress. Please wait..."
  • Once plate creation is complete, the newly created plate appears at the top of the list.

Plates/Cassettes Page Columns

The Plates/Cassettes page consists of the following columns:

• Name
• Barcode
• Labware Name
• Status
• Last Event
• Run Name
• Run Owner

Filtering Options:

• The Name column has a filtering option to view specific plates/cassettes.

• The Barcode column allows filtering by barcode.

• The Labware Name column filters labware types and associated plates/cassettes.

• The Status column filters by status.

  • The status of each plate can be modified using the dropdown in the Status column.

  • Once updated, the changes are stored in the backend system.

    
    

• The Run Name column filters by run name.

• The Run Owner column filters by run owner.

• The Last Event column has a filtering option to filter and view the list based on the events
